Pregnancy Movement

This guided session offers a gentle introduction to safe, effective movement during pregnancy. You’ll be led through exercises to support pelvic and hip mobility in preparation for birth, along with breathwork, pressure management, and core and pelvic floor awareness to support your changing body.
Whether you’re early in pregnancy or preparing for delivery, this session is designed to meet you where you’re at and provide practical tools you can carry with you.
All bodies, all experiences, and all fitness levels are welcome—no prior experience needed.

Baby Sleep

Learn how to safely and confidently wear your baby in this quick, hands-on 30-minute session. This session with cover the basics of different carrier types, proper positioning for newborns and older babies, and simple tips to keep both you and your baby comfortable. Perfect for expectant parents and those new to babywearing!
Breast & Bottle Feeding

This is a down-to-earth session on feeding your baby; whether that’s breastfeeding, bottle feeding, or a mix of both. This talk is all about helping you figure out what works for you and your baby, without the pressure to do things one “right” way.
You’ll leave feeling more confident feeding your baby with practical tips you can actually use.Â
Music Playgroup

Join Scotia Suzuki School of Music for a playgroup and discover the musical parenting technique Halifax families are falling in love with.
In one playful session, you and your baby (or toddler!) will explore gentle rhythms, movement, and musical play that transforms your everyday moments — bedtime, bath time, even car rides — into something joyful.
No musical background needed. No special skills required. Just you, your little one, and your curiosity.

SUPPORT & EMOTIONAL WELLBEING

The postpartum period can bring emotional challenges that often go unspoken. This panel explores maternal mental health beyond postpartum depression—covering early signs of struggle, contributing factors like sleep and support, and why some parents fall through the cracks.
This expert panel will talk about the role of partners and community, how to access local support, and most importantly—reducing shame and normalizing help-seeking, with a hopeful look at healing.
