Halifax Perinatal
Support Network

Finally, a group where we can ALL come together, support each other and stay connected - both during pregnancy and postpartum.

This is a FREE Facebook group that's open to anyone, anywhere. Yes, it's a Halifax-based group, meaning that the majority of the resources provided will be local to this area. However, support comes in many forms and providing resources is just one small part of it.

Here's why you should join this group:

--> During pregnancy, you'll have opportunities to learn about the postpartum period to help you both mentally and physically prepare. You'll get to meet other expecting mamas and you might even find some long-lasting friendships.

--> During postpartum (really, any time after you've had a baby), you will have regular opportunities to connect with others, receive emotional support and practical help for any ailments or issues taking place, and you'll get to observe/participate in conversations surrounding the postpartum journey.

It's all well and good to learn about your baby and how you might best like to parent your children, but after you strip away all of your responsibilities to your new family unit, you're left just with yourself. If YOU aren't taking care of the parts that are holding yourself together, things can start to crumble.

You'll want to join this group to help yourself through a rewarding but often
challenging and sometimes lonely experience.
You'll also want to join because it might actually save you down the road.

In this group, we don't identify the postpartum period as a select number of weeks or months post-baby. Instead, YOU DECIDE when you've gotten what you needed when you're ready to move on.

In this group, we welcome expecting families during any stage of pregnancy, because mental health support during this time of life needs to be pumped up a notch too.

In this group, we DO NOT judge, prescribe or diagnose.
In this group, we DO provide information, support and resources to each other.

In this group, businesses and services are NOT ALLOWED to advertise. Including myself!
Now go find us on Facebook - Halifax Perinatal Support Network - and request to join. See you there!
